Tally Upgrades
Migrating from Tally.ERP 9 to TallyPrime is a simple process. You just need to install TallyPrime, activate your existing ERP 9 licence in it, and then open your old company data. TallyPrime will automatically convert the ERP 9 data into its new format while keeping the old files safe. Once the data is migrated, you can open the company in TallyPrime and start working without losing any records. The process is smooth, and after migration, you get all the features of TallyPrime like easier navigation, search option, better reports, and improved GST compliance.
Single to Multi upgrade in Tally means changing Single User (Silver) licence, which works only on one computer, into a Multi User (Gold) licence, which allows many users on different computers in the same network to use Tally at the same time.
It is basically upgrading the licence so that instead of one person, multiple people can work together in Tally using the same company data.
Updating Tally to a new release means installing the latest version of Tally (like moving from an older release to the newest one) while keeping all your company data safe.
The process is simple: you download the latest release of Tally from the official Tally website, install it over the existing version, and then reactivate your licence if required. Your company data automatically gets carried forward — no separate migration is needed if you are already on TallyPrime.
